Work Shoes - the ultimate quest

10.07.12

Looking for the perfect work shoes is always an arduous task, the shoes on offer are often too high or too low, too mumsy or too uncomfortable for a real woman to run around in. Over the years and through trial and error, I have found a couple of brands that make work shoes to meet my very high standards.

My ultimate favourite has to be Roger Vivier. I feel work shoes need to be stylish, classy and very feminine, so one can still feel like a woman in an often all-male environment. Roger Vivier shoes tick all the boxes, they come in 3-4 different heel heights so you can choose from demure to vertigo and look great in all of them (I personally find the shape of their heals incredibly sexy). Their leathers and hardware shouts quality, and although they are not the most comfortable from day one, once moulded to your feet, they become indispensable. The shoes I'm wearing on one of the early photoshoots (that I often get asked about)...are RV, now you know!

Rupert Sanderson is also one of my favourite brands when it comes to work shoes, stylish and classy yet interesting. This season I'm loving their staple Laira in grained calf.

If you are looking to add a bit of drama to your outfit, I find there's nothing quite like Miu Miu. They push the boundaries of what a traditional work shoe should look like and I find them incredibly comfortable. Miu Miu also has great flats, but we'll talk more about flats another day...

    Delighted to see you launched.
I have two suede pairs of RV's both worn once - suede wasn't the best option for this climate!
